A solution of 3-benzyloxyaniline (100.2 g, 0.5029 mol) in methanol (200 mL) was slowly added to the reaction over a period 45 minutes while maintaining the reaction temperature below 50 ¡ãC. The reaction was then heated at 45 ¡ãC for one hour, allowed to cool to room temperature, and stirred overnight.
