To 1.0 g 2-chloropyrimidine (8.73 mmol) dissolved in30 cm3 of dry acetonitrile 1.40 g 4,4-diethoxybutyl-1-amine (8.73 mmol) and 1.50 g K2CO3 were added. Themixture was refluxed for 36 h.
