In 2019,Organic Letters included an article by Huang, Jie; Ding, Jun; Ding, Tong-Mei; Zhang, Shuiyi; Wang, Yaqiu; Sha, Feng; Zhang, Shu-Yu; Wu, Xin-Yan; Li, Qiong. Electric Literature of C8H8O2. The article was titled 《Cobalt-Catalyzed Ortho-C(sp2)-H Amidation of Benzaldehydes with Dioxazolones Using Transient Directing Groups》. The information in the text is summarized as follows:
An efficient and convenient cobalt-catalyzed ortho-C(sp2)-H amidation of benzaldehydes employing dioxazolones as the aminating reagent has been developed. The key feature of this protocol is the use of green and economic earth-abundant metals cobalt as the catalyst with the p-chloroaniline as the transient directing group. Further application of our approach was demonstrated by the synthesis of C1r serine protease inhibitor 45 (I) and elastase inhibitor 49 (II). In addition to this study using 2-Methoxybenzaldehyde, there are many other studies that have used 2-Methoxybenzaldehyde(cas: 135-02-4Electric Literature of C8H8O2) was used in this study.
2-Methoxybenzaldehyde(cas: 135-02-4) is used as a flavor agent in foods including nonalcoholic/alcoholic beverages, baked goods, chewing gum, confections, frozen dairy, fruit ices, hard/soft candy, instant coffee, tea, Jams, jellies, and milk products. It also has been used to obtain good enantioselectivities using Cu(OAc)(2)-bis(oxazolines) via hydrogen bonding in asymmetric Henry reaction.Electric Literature of C8H8O2
