The standard molar enthalpies of formation, ΔfHom(liq/cr) of di-Ph ether substituted with nitro substituents were measured by the high-precision combustion calorimetry. Enthalpies of vaporisation/sublimation Δgl,crHom(298.15 K) of these compounds were obtained by the transpiration method. Enthalpies of fusion were measured by DSC. Gas-phase enthalpies of formation ΔfHom(g, 298.15 K) of substituted di-Ph ethers calculated by the G4 method were in an excellent agreement with the exptl. results. A set of thermodn. properties of di-Ph ether derivatives of benchmark quality was recommended for thermochem. calculations and for quantification of non-nearest interactions of methyl-, methoxy-, hydroxyl-, amino- and nitro-substituents on the di-Ph ether aromatic system.
