The first palladium catalysts capable of controlling asym. nucleophilic allylations of aldehydes with allyltributyltin was reported. TONs up to 620 were achieved, which is significantly higher than for any other reported catalyst. The method also tolerated electronically and sterically unfavorable substrates.
