Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory, autoimmune, and persistent skin disease. Ichthammol 10% ointment is a mixture of soft yellow paraffin with ichthammol 10%. HS patients frequently suffer from abscesses despite systemic treatment. Prodromal symptoms to HS lesion development include fatigue, malaise, headache, and nausea. Local symptoms include erythema, paresthesia, itching and usually occurs 12 to 24 h before the outburst.
