General procedure: The hydrolytic reactions of rac-1a-10a, (S)- and (R)-1a were performed as follows: 1.0 mL cell suspension (100 mg/mL) was separately mixed with 1.0 mL rac-1a-10a (10 mM), (S)- and (R)-1a (5 mM) in50 mM Na2HPO4-NaH2PO4 buffer (pH 7.2), and then incubated at 25 C.
