The residue was purified by reverse-phase column eluting with water (0.05% TFA)/CH3CN (85/15) to afford 2-bromo-N-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-5,8-dihydro-4H-pyrazolo[1,5-d][1,4]diazepin-7-amine (295 mg, 80%) as a brown oil.
