General procedure: To a suspension of ethyl 4-trifluoromethoxybenzimidate hydrochloride salt (8) (1 equiv) in ethanol (0.25 M) was added the appropriate amine (0.9 equiv). The reaction mixture was then concentrated and the crude product purified by flash chromatography on silica.
